Japan has launched their third satellite to create an accurate global position system, The main reason behind this launch is to make betterment in car navigators and smart phones maps. An H-IIA rocket has been launched today from Tanegashima space centre which is situated in southern Japan. After 30 minutes of its launch the rocket released the signals to confirm the authorities about its success. Basically this launch has to be done last week but could not be due to some technical issues. GPS system was designed for US military and now it is being used by whole world, in the form of mobile apps, car navigation.

Currently Japan is dependent on GPS system which is being operated by US. This launch is much important for Japan, as they are having a great plan to make their geo-location system independent. In 2010, the first satellite was launched, and the second satellite was also launched in the same year. After that this is the third satellite. Now fourth satellite is about to be launched in 2018. However this is a good initiative taken by japan to improve the gps system. Japan has planned to launch 7 satellites by 2023. However Japan is not the only country which is making their GPS system better. India has also launched seven satellites and now is going to launch the eighth one. Russia has its independent satellite with global coverage. China and European countries are also deploying their satellites to make more accuracy in their geo positioning system.
