In smart phones industry, things are changing day by day. There are some of the features of smart phones which are in trend and some of them are being off the trend. There are many features of smart phones which are now out of trend.Today we will discuss top four smart phone features that are going to retire soon.

Smart Phone Features that are going to retire soon:

1.Front speakers:

HTC is the company which introduced front speakers. For the first time in 2013, HTC One M7 come up with front speakers. Now HTC has decided to quit these front speakers, they would be using front speakers until the release of HTC 10, in which they will come up with different style of speakers. There are some other companies also, which released front speakers in their few models.

Few years back we can see that Nexus 6 was released with front speakers. Alcatel and ZTE also did the same thing.

However, in past two years this trend has started to fall. In 2017 we have seen that there are few phones which are released with front speakers. Sony is still coming with front speakers in XZ series. But half of the majority has changed their speakers setup.

2.Headphone Jack:

The removal of headphone jack is the funniest thing I’ve seen. If we go back in 2003, there were no headphone jacks in phones. At that time Sony Ericsson and Samsung were in trend and both of the phones were without headphone jack. In those phones charging jack was used for headphones as well.

However, again we are going back to those old days. Apple has removed headphone jack from their iPhone 7/7 Plus. There are some other companies also did the same thing such as Google has removed headphone jack from pixel 2.

3.Removable Batteries:

Removable batteries are dying like the collapse of dinosaurs. LG and Samsung. The two big brands were stuck with removable batteries phones for many years but now they have changed the trend, so removable batteries are living their last days.

The main reason behind the collapse of removable battery is that the most of the companies are coming up with dust and water resistance phones. In order to make a phone water and dust resistant, you have to seal each and every part of the phone. However, the major advantage of removable batteries was that you swap a new battery whenever your old one’s got damage or poor in usage.

4.Physical Keyboards:

Few years back, before the release of touch screens, we can see that physical keyboards were much popular. Blackberry has always creating phones with physical keyboards. Now after the release of touch screens, still Blackberry is releasing their phones with touch screen and physical keyboards.

Today physical keyboards are not much being used but they will remain in existing for few years more. There are out of trend because touch screens are more responsive. Touch screens made phones slimmer and thinner. Physical keyboards occupy a lot of area in the body of phone.
