WhatsApp is a freeware app of Facebook family. Earlier this year, WhatsApp introduced a new status feature for their iOS and Android users. Now the company has also rolled out its WhatsApp web status feature. This feature can be used on desktop app of WhatsApp. This new status feature comes up with Whatsapp desktop version 0.2.5854, if you are using an older version you can update your WhatsApp desktop app from here. In your desktop app you will see the circular icon above your conversations thread. You can view the status of your contacts by clicking on that circular icon.

After that, you will be redirected on a screen with black background, on this screen you can see the statuses of your contacts. You can view them by clicking on circular images, just like WhatsApp mobile app, you can also reply to the statuses. This status features is used to share photos, videos and GIFs with a caption among all of your contacts by default, you can also change this by status privacy settings. The status will be visible only for 24 hours.
Even an indian website has shared a snapshot of the feature that shows Bank transfer option, and after clicking on transfer it will ask you to Agree the WhatsApp terms and conditions regarding payments.

However,There is no official announcement made by WhatsApp regarding the payment method feature. Most of the people are trying to spread rumors.
